How to look for best fares

Compareandfly.co.uk does not sell tickets directly but we liaise with the best agents, operators and airlines in the business to bring you the most economical travel deals.

Following is a brief guide to help you find the best travel deals. If you don’t find what you’re looking for in this section, then we recommend that you try our Frequently Asked Questions section.

How to find a cheap flight:

On Compareandfly.co.uk, you can find cheap air tickets in two ways – by either comparing flight prices to your destination or by searching for cheap flights according to your departure date.

Comparing flight prices

  1. You will first need to choose your destination. You can do this by either using the A-Z toolbar on top of the page or by filling in the search boxes, also provided at the top of the page.
  2. Select your departure point from the menu on the next page.
  3. Select the most appropriate air fare from the fares offered by the advertisers. The range of prices includes scheduled flights, charter flights and low cost airlines.
  4. You will have to get in touch with the advertiser to find out more about the deal and to book your air tickets.

This method will help you compare the cheapest fares offered by the advertisers. However, be prepared to hunt for the best deal. Also, some companies offer only telephone bookings, so you will have to wait for business hours to find out more about their deal.

Searching for a flight by departure date

  1. Click on ‘Search by date’. This will give you access to our online booking engine.
  2. Enter the appropriate information required. Choose one of the travel company search engines, listed on the right, to run your search.
  3. Select the fare that suits you the most and book online or by phone if the travel company only takes phone bookings.

Please note that online booking engines might not have the cheapest fares available. All the booking engines on our site have different strengths, so it would be better if you compare the fares from all three before making your bookings.

How to research your trip:
